Wayne is definitely the most responsive loan advisor we have worked with. Any email, night, day or weekends usually had a response back in minutes. The process started out very good with some quick quotes with good rates and closing costs. Even when we decided to lock on the rate and the rate increased slightly, we were okay with it.
During the document gathering step, we were misguided by Wayne's coordinator regarding one of the documents, which made us search for something that was not required at all. Not too much of a big deal.
After that, we waited a month or so days for the closing process to complete. When we did not hear anything we started inquiries and were told they were waiting for an updated payoff from our current loan servicer, and for the title company to verify some information. A few days later we received a pre-closing document, with completely different closing costs. On inquiring what happened, it took over a week for us to be told that its probably because of homeowners insurance or taxes. We then took care of the homeowners insurance. Then we waited a few more days and then inquired what was happening, and we were told it would be in another 7 - 10 days. We asked for an updated closing statement just to make sure everything was as we expected, but that got to us only the day before closing, and it was incorrect. Now property taxes were added to an escrow account. We had stated before that we would take care of taxes and did not need an escrow. That took over 24 hours to get resolved and we finally got the corrected document just a few hours before the closing. So overall, it started off well, but the end had us spend some frustrating time wondering if we would even close. It could have been handled better.
