CARES Act and the
Paycheck Protection Program

(Update as of January 26, 2021)

The SBA recently reopened the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) with nbkc bank able to begin submitting loan requests to SBA on January 19, 2021. Funding is available until March 31, 2021.

New PPP applications
At this time, we are only accepting Second Draw PPP applications from customers that participated in round one of the PPP program with us in 2020. If this applies to you, shoot us an email at ppp@nbkc.com to get started.

Please note on Second Draw PPP loans, regardless of loan amount and unless the SBA updates current guidance, since certification by the applicant of a 25% reduction in gross receipts is required by SBA on the application, we will require documentation proving this reduction at application.

For Second Draw PPP loans under $150,000, this will allow for an easier forgiveness application with no supporting documents required at forgiveness, only the single page 3508S forgiveness application.

Loan forgiveness applications
PPP Loans in Excess of $150,000: We have released PPP forgiveness applications on all PPP loans originated in 2020 in excess of $150,000. Please check your email for a link to an application and a separate email with an access code. If you need this sent again, please email ppp@nbkc.com.

PPP Loans less than $150,000: For PPP loans originated in 2020 for less than $150,000, the SBA released a simpler forgiveness application on January 19, 2021. We are updating our electronic forgiveness application to match the new requirements and you will receive an email from us with further instructions when this is available. We are expecting this to be released the first week of February. If you had a forgiveness application submitted and pending with nbkc, we will route this back to you and have you change the form number selection to 3508S and resubmit for streamlined processing.
