How do I open a secure message?

To open a secure message, you will need log in with a username and password. If this is your first secure message transaction with NBKC, you will be asked to set up a username and password.

  • Open the attachment on the secure message you received. If you are using Gmail or another web-based email application, you may be required to download the attachment before opening it.
  • Opening the attachment will open a web page in your default internet browser.
  • Select the “Click to read message” button.
  • You will be prompted to create a password, or enter your password if you have already created one.
  • Click Continue after entering your password.

After successfully logging in, you will be able to read messages, reply to messages, download attachments, or print your messages.

How do I reset my secure message password?

Click the Forgot Password link at the login prompt after opening the secure message.

Can I share a secure message with someone else?

Do not share your secure message username or password with anyone. If you would like to share the message sent to you, please respond to the sender asking them to forward the message and they can include your additional contacts in future secure emails.
