About Drew States

Advice for New Home Buyers

My advice for new home buyers is to work with real estate professionals (i.e. realtors and loan officers) that you trust. Take time to get to know who you are talking to and ask questions! Any professional worth their salt will be willing and able to answer your questions and to make sure you are comfortable with the process.

Before working at nbkc, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

In college I worked at a Mexican restaurant, and as the “low man on the totem pole” I was assigned to work exclusively at the quesadilla station. I was surrounded by four quesadilla makers. Every day in between my classes, I would make quesadillas. Hundreds of quesadillas a day. It got to a point where I was burned out, I couldn’t stand any more quesadillas. I only lasted six weeks at the job.
