Advice for New Home Buyers
Marry the house, date the rate! The housing market is volatile and can change at any time. If you find the house of your dreams but are hesitant to purchase because of rates, don’t wait! That home may not be available for when you are “ready.” Many borrowers will wait until rates drop to purchase a new home but that is when everyone else decides to purchase as well. More competition, less options. We can always look at options at refinancing later at a lower rate.
