(Feb. 24, 2026) — As Kansas City prepares to welcome the world this summer, nbkc bank is bringing together civic leaders, soccer experts and local entrepreneurs for a timely conversation aimed at helping businesses and the region anticipate opportunities and prepare for increased activity across the region.

“Bank On Your Goals: Global Stage, Local Impact” will take place at nbkc bank’s headquarters, 8320 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO, on March 5th, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

“This will be a historic summer for Kansas City, and we want to do our part to help businesses and the community prepare for the business opportunities and practical considerations that this unique moment will bring,” said Michael Bartkoski, president and CEO of nbkc bank. “We’ve assembled a great panel whose insights should be really valuable to local businesses, entrepreneurs and the community at large.”

Moderated by local sports commentator Nate Bukaty, the panel includes:

  • Nia Webster, Assistant Director, Neighborhood Services Department, City of Kansas City
  • Derek Byrne, Director of Content Strategy, Visit KC

Together, these leaders will share perspectives on anticipated citywide impacts, opportunities for local businesses and strategies for operational readiness.

Admission is $15, with all proceeds benefiting Global FC, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting underserved youth through year-round soccer, education, and mentorship programs.
