What is your motto or personal mantra?
The older I become, the stronger I feel about finding our WHY – Who are we? I AM “a creator of safe spaces for others to feel comfort!"
I believe that my spirit animal is a cross between a Deer and a Dolphin:
My “Deer Spirit Animal” symbolizes my inner strength, the trust I have with my instincts and intuition, my kind and gentle personality traits, and most importantly, deer shed and regrow their antlers each and every year – symbolizing rebirth and my ability to dust myself off and start over again!
My “Dolphin Spirit Animal” symbolizes my love for connecting by communicating effectively, providing guidance and protection to all around me, and probably the most obvious is my social, playful personality – having fun, feeling all the emotions, and nurturing all.
What is your favorite sports team?
Supporting the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, Sporting KC and the KC Current has been a highlight! These teams have brought our city together and created a lot of fun in our communities. BUT, my favorite team(s), are those my kids are either “cheering” for OR playing in! GO Shawnee Mission East and the Prairie Elementary Panthers!
What is on your bucket list?
My fondest memories and my happiest places are the outdoors – visiting the mountains, ocean, lakes, rivers and streams. My favorite summer hobby is camping. Well, glamping might be a little more accurate – I pull a camper. There is nothing I enjoy more than the smell and warmth of a campfire, under a clear sky of star gazing, with the sounds of water flowing around me.
My bucket list camping trips include:
The Grand Canyon – Camp on the North Rim and hike from the North Rim to the South Rim. I would like to hike the Rim to Rim in 2 days, camping along the Colorado River at the base of the canyon.
Banff National Park, Canada
Bear Lake in Idaho
Leavenworth, WA (this is more of an non-camping trip during the month of December to the most beautiful Hallmark Christmas village out there!)
Glacier National Park, Montana
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
Meeting and building new relationships, learning about their companies (What do they do? How do they do it? How did they get started? What are their goals?), being a connector, and solving their problems!
