During my purchase, I talked to a ton of lenders, and frankly, I chose to give Michael a shot simply because the message he left on my voicemail came across extremely genuine. It came across that way, because that is who he truly is. Never in my life have I met someone in the home loan industry who has such the heart of a teacher. I honestly learned more about how the market works, financing, and mortgages than I would have learned in a college class. But that’s not the impressive part, in the end because of a variety of factors, I had to go with a different mortgage provider. Michael STILL continued to spend hours on the phone with me helped me through the process. A First Time Homebuyers Experience
“As a first time homebuyer, I didn’t know what to expect from this process. It is very daunting making the largest purchase of your life and it is so valuable to have a great guiding hand throughout the process. I am an airline pilot, so I have an uncommon payroll system that proved complex for our first local Loan Officer. After that experience, my wife and I started looking around for a more specialized Loan Officer. We found NBKC after it being recommended for Airline Pilots, and that was an excellent recommendation, indeed. Throughout the process, Michael was always willing and available to answer all of our questions. He would text us regularly during the process of seeking out a house to see if we needed anything from him, just overall great service. When it came time to see a house he was always ready to update our pre-approval letter for that specific house, and I mean he is fast, usually within 20 minutes. What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
Educating first-time home buyers so they can confidently navigate the process. I also enjoy educating seasoned buyers to help them select the best loan to meet their long and short-term goals.

Mankato, Minnesota
What are some of your hobbies?
I raise chickens, ducks, turkeys and Dexter cattle.
Before working at nbkc, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
In college I taught dinner etiquette classes to business students. I also fundraised by accompanying wealthy donors to fancy banquets.
