“Lucas is intelligent and helpful from day 1 when he got hold of us. We been dealing several loan officers since last October then found this guy in December. From then it was rollercoaster where he made sure that we will be alright and will find a house that we will love forever. He gave us the best rate in the market and everything went smoothly. 5 stars for him!”

“Lucas was a total pro and the whole process could not have been easier. My wife and I didn’t even have to leave the house for the “wet signing”—a notary came to our house, which was convenient because we both work from home.”

“Lucas was very helpful from start to finish with the purchase of our second home. I was relocating for work and right off the bat he mentioned a program that I wasn't aware of that pairs you with local agents both where your selling and where you will be buying. That was extremely helpful and I ended up getting paired with great agents on both ends of the deal! Whenever I had questions Lucas was quick to answer and get me what I needed. Would definitely recommend Lucas and NBKC to others looking to purchase a home.”

“I can't stress how pleasant of an experience I had working with Lucas at NBKC Bank. My first advice to anyone out there would be to definitely go with a Costco approved lender. But even among Costco lenders, NBKC and Lucas specifically, stood out like a Navy Seal among the military. I have had 2 refi's done on this house, and my father took on the process for the 1st one. This was my 1st experience handling the whole process. Lucas educated me every step of the way and told me the numbers he was processing. He educated me on every number that we were talking about. He spoke about the strategies he would take to get me a better rate and a bunch of money in my pockets at the end of the day. My credit score was on the poor side of things. Because of this, one lender was able to give me a good rate, but I mentioned to him that Lucas had a better rate/deal for me. He spoke with management, and they decided to not lower my rate due to my score. I don't blame them because they take on risks too. Lucas, however, was able to give me the lower rate and the best deal among them all. Another lender was not able to give me this deal, because even though the rate seemed attractive, there were a bunch closing costs and "points" <- This is something I learned this time around. The whole process is definitely more complex, so you need to make sure to asks questions and get them answered. Before going to Costco lenders, I spoke with an individual broker that completely messed things up for me. He promised me a low rate that I qualified for at the time (before the rate increases took effect). We talked about it over the phone, and I uploaded my documents an hour after we spoke. Then this individual disappeared and stopped answering my calls and emails. A week and a half later, he sends me an email saying that the rates had increased. I told him that I uploaded the documents an hour after speaking with him, and he says that he didn't get the documents, or any follow-up emails/voicemails I sent him. This got me pretty irritated, because it was pretty obvious that he was lying. Since then, I only trust Costco approved lenders and will not settle for any brokers or any other lenders/banks. NBKC and Lucas being the best among them. If you're trying to take advantage of these low rates before they change, definitely contact Lucas and get it done. I filled out a request on Costco on 1/19/2022, and my refi is closing tomorrow 2/3/2022. So, my rate is now significantly lower, and I get a bunch of money back. It can't get better than this. It's very important to be able to trust someone when you're doing this. People might try to mislead you to get you to lock in a rate with them, so transparency is key, and this is what Lucas@NBKC provided for me.”

“Lucas was our loan officer for our new construction home. We could have went through our builders lender but they were not providing the best service. Lucas was extremely helpful and responsive. He listened and worked through a couple of issues we had but nothing major. Above all, we closed on time and with time to spare! Thank you Lucas and the team at NBKC for their help with our home purchase.”
