This is the third time I’ve closed a mortgage with Jeff and NBKC. I’m military and this home purchase was construction to permanent loan that I did with another bank since NBKC does not do those type of loans, so I shopped a bank for that loan looking for the best perks knowing I was going refinance with Jeff at completion. I’m hoping I never have to use him again (supposed forever home...says the wife), but should we ever need to close on another house it will be with Jeff and NBKC.
Jeff is willing to go the extra mile every time to ensure we have the best experience and rate. For example, when the rates we’re in flux earlier this year (Feb-Apr 2019) and it was time to lock in our rate Jeff was in the office before the markets opened to check and see if it looked like the rates would go down or not. He’d advise and say looks like we can hold out for another day. This went of for nearly two weeks and as a result I got a rate much lower than had I locked in at my first opportunity. He is always available by phone or email to answers my questions in a prompt manner, regardless if it’s the fifth time I asked it. I’ve referred all my friends and family that have closed on a house to Jeff (I get no rewards for the referral, but that’s something they should look into :) ) and they all have had a positive experience.
In addition, NBKC has the lowest rates and closing costs by far of any lender. As I said earlier, is this my third house I’ve bought in the past seven years and I always shopped my rate to see if anyone can beat NBKC and it has never happened. I even looked for the banks (online and brick and mortar) that say we’ll beat any rate guaranteed or we’ll give you (insert promo here) and NBKC beat them by a mile every time (over .5%). I think I’ve made close to $1,000 in gift cards over the years from those banks that couldn’t beat the rate.
